UL 5107 Mica Wire
UL 5107 is a mica tape and glass braid insulated wire rated 450°C and 600V AC under UL AWM Style 5107, produced under UL Follow-Up Service File No. E333030. UL 5107 uses multiple wraps of mica tape as the primary insulation, with a glass braid outer covering providing mechanical protection — a mineral-based insulation system that maintains its solid, electrically insulating form continuously at 450°C, far beyond the thermal limits of any organic polymer insulation including silicone rubber (200°C) and PTFE (250°C).
UL 5107 is the standard specification for internal wiring in industrial furnaces, kilns, high-temperature ovens, and thermal processing equipment operating continuously above 200°C where no polymer insulation system can provide reliable long-term service. The 600V rating covers the full range of industrial heating circuit voltages including three-phase 380V/400V heating element power feeds. For the 300V variant of mica glass wire, see UL 5128. All products comply with RoHS and REACH.
