UL 1911 High Voltage Wire

UL 1911 is a PVC insulated high voltage wire rated up to 50,000V DC under UL AWM Style 1911, produced under UL Follow-Up Service File No. E333030. UL 1911 fills a specific voltage range in the AWM high voltage wire family — rated for DC voltages from approximately 15,000V to 50,000V DC, above the 10,000V AC limit of silicone ignition wire (UL 3304, UL 3573) but below the upper range of the UL 3239 silicone high voltage DC wire which extends to 100,000V DC.

UL 1911 uses a PVC-based high voltage insulation compound rather than silicone rubber — making it suitable for ambient-temperature high voltage DC internal wiring applications where the wire is not exposed to the elevated temperatures that would require silicone insulation. The primary applications are advanced electronic ignition systems operating at 20,000–50,000V DC ignition pulse voltage, high voltage DC power supply internal leads in the 15–50 kV output range, and neon sign transformer secondary connections where the circuit voltage requires a higher-rated wire than standard ignition wire but silicone insulation is not needed for temperature reasons. For high-temperature HV DC applications, see UL 3239. Available in 28 AWG to 18 AWG, RoHS and REACH compliant.
