UL 5128 Mica Wire

UL 5128 is a mica tape and glass braid insulated wire rated 450°C and 300V AC under UL AWM Style 5128, produced under UL Follow-Up Service File No. E333030. UL 5128 shares the same 450°C temperature class and mica tape / glass braid construction as UL 5107, but is rated 300V AC rather than 600V — making it the appropriate specification for heating element lead connections and internal wiring in high-temperature equipment where the circuit voltage does not exceed 300V AC.

The 300V rating of UL 5128 covers single-phase 230V AC heating circuits, thermocouple extension leads in furnace environments, and signal wiring in kiln control systems where the circuit voltage is within the 300V limit but the wire routing environment requires 450°C insulation performance.
