UL 3071 Silicone Wire
UL 3071 is a silicone rubber insulated wire with a fiberglass braid outer covering, rated 200°C and 600V AC under UL AWM Style 3071, produced under UL Follow-Up Service File No. E333030. UL 3071 matches the 200°C / 600V rating and fiberglass braid construction of UL 3172, but differs in insulation wall thickness and conductor range — UL 3071 is constructed with a heavier insulation wall suitable for higher-current power leads in industrial heating equipment, making it the preferred specification for heating element lead connections and motor leads in hot zones where both high current capacity and 200°C thermal resistance are required simultaneously.
UL 3071 is the specification used by industrial oven and furnace manufacturers for the heating element power lead connections — the short wire section from the internal terminal block to the heating element terminal, running through or adjacent to the heated chamber interior. The heavier silicone wall and fiberglass braid provide both the dielectric strength for the full 600V power circuit and the mechanical protection required in the abrasive, high-temperature environment inside the heating equipment enclosure. For lighter control and signal wiring in the same temperature environment, see UL 3122 (300V). Available in 18 AWG to 4/0 AWG, RoHS and REACH compliant.
