UL 3122 Silicone Wire

UL 3122 is a silicone rubber insulated wire with a fiberglass braid outer covering, rated 200°C and 300V AC under UL AWM Style 3122, produced under UL Follow-Up Service File No. E333030. UL 3122 shares the same 200°C temperature class and fiberglass braid construction as UL 3172, but is rated 300V AC rather than 600V — making it the appropriate specification for control, signal, and low-voltage power wiring in high temperature equipment enclosures where the circuit voltage does not exceed 300V AC.

The 300V rating of UL 3122 covers all standard industrial control voltage levels — 24V DC, 120V AC, and 230V AC — while the 200°C temperature rating and fiberglass braid construction provide the same mechanical and thermal protection as UL 3172 in the same high-temperature enclosure environments.
