UL10362 PFA Wire
UL 10362 is a PFA (perfluoroalkoxy alkane) insulated wire rated 250°C and 600V AC under UL AWM Style 10362, produced under UL Follow-Up Service File No. E333030. PFA is a melt-processable fluoropolymer with the same maximum continuous service temperature (250°C) and equivalent chemical resistance as PTFE, but processed by standard melt extrusion — producing a smooth, glossy insulation surface like FEP and enabling thinner, more uniform insulation walls with better concentricity than paste-extruded PTFE.
The key advantage of UL 10362 PFA over UL 1659 PTFE at the same 250°C / 600V rating is flexibility: PFA insulation is significantly more flexible than PTFE at equivalent wall thickness and rated temperature, making it the preferred specification for tight-radius routing, flexible harness applications, and repeated-flex applications in high-temperature environments where PTFE’s relative stiffness would lead to insulation cracking over time. For applications where maximum chemical resistance and lowest cost take priority over flexibility, see UL 1659 PTFE wire. Available in 30 AWG to 4/0 AWG, RoHS and REACH compliant.
