Heavy Duty High Temperature Power Cable for Industrial Machinery

Heavy duty high temperature power cable for industrial machinery, rated 200°C to 450°C and up to 600V AC. Single or multi-core for high-current power supply to industrial furnace heating systems, smelting equipment, and heavy-duty industrial heating machinery. 6 mm² to 240 mm² per core. UL AWM Styles 3135 and 5107 recognised (File No. E333030). Custom cross-sections and drum lengths available.

Heavy Duty High Temperature Power Cable for Industrial Machinery

Heavy duty high temperature power cable provides the high-current power supply connection to industrial furnaces, smelting equipment, induction heating systems, and other heavy-duty industrial heating machinery where the power cable must carry large continuous currents while withstanding sustained ambient temperatures of 200°C to 450°C at the cable routing point. This is a large cross-section power cable — from 6 mm² to 240 mm² per conductor — rather than a small-AWG control cable, and is used for the main power feed to heating elements, electrode systems, and high-power induction coils in the most demanding industrial heating applications.

The cable construction combines a high cross-section copper conductor (selected for low resistance and high current capacity) with a high-temperature insulation system — silicone rubber (200°C, UL AWM Style 3135) for applications in the 100–200°C range, or mica tape (450°C, UL AWM Styles 5107 and 5128) for the most extreme furnace and smelting environments — providing a complete cable solution rated for the actual electrical and thermal demands of heavy industrial power delivery in high-temperature machinery.

Common Applications

Furnace heating element power supply

The main power feed from the furnace control panel to the heating element terminal blocks inside the furnace — carrying continuous currents from 100A to 300A at 200°C to 450°C ambient temperature at the cable routing point inside the furnace structure. This is a heavier-gauge, higher-current application than the element lead wire itself.

Induction furnace coil power connection

Water-cooled induction coils in induction melting furnaces require heavy power cable connections from the induction power supply to the coil terminals — a connection that must carry very high currents (often 1000A+) while withstanding the intense radiant heat from the molten metal charge and the electromagnetic fields generated by the induction coil.

Electric arc furnace electrode power leads

Short flexible power leads connecting the main bus bars to the graphite electrode arms in electric arc furnaces require heavy-gauge high-temperature cable capable of carrying thousands of amperes while withstanding the radiant heat from the arc and the elevated ambient temperature inside the furnace structure.

Other applications

  • Resistance welding machine secondary power connections
  • Industrial salt bath and molten metal heating systems
  • High-current electrochemical process power feeds
  • High-power infrared heating panel element connections
