UL3135 Silicone Wire

UL 3135 is a silicone rubber insulated wire rated 200°C and 600V AC under UL AWM Style 3135, produced under UL Follow-Up Service File No. E333030. It is the most widely used high temperature AWM wire style — the standard internal wiring specification for enclosed electrical equipment operating continuously at elevated temperatures where PVC or XLPE insulation would soften, deform, or undergo thermal degradation within the equipment’s service life.

The silicone rubber insulation of UL 3135 maintains its elastic, non-brittle physical form and full electrical insulation properties continuously at 200°C — and remains flexible down to −60°C, making it suitable for both high-temperature and low-temperature environments. UL 3135 bare silicone insulation (without outer braid) is specified for enclosed routing where abrasion is not a concern.
