Nine clarifications belong with that table. 30–10 AWG is this page’s focus, not the complete Style range. The complete range extends to 2 AWG. “Thin-wall” is a commercial descriptor for the 30–10 AWG 15/13 mil subset only. The 9–2 AWG group uses the thicker 30/27 mil requirement. 80, 90 and 105°C are rating options. The applicable ordered temperature rating must be confirmed. The optional covering is not mandatory. 600 Volts Peak is not the normal voltage rating. And conductor material and plating are not universally specified at Style level.
Thin-Wall Describes the 30–10 AWG Subset
Style 1569 defines two insulation groups, and they differ by a factor of two.
From 30 AWG through 10 AWG the requirement is 15 mils minimum average with 13 mils minimum at any point. From 9 AWG through 2 AWG it is 30 mils minimum average with 27 mils minimum at any point.
So the statement “UL1569 is a thin-wall Style” is too broad. The accurate framing is that this page focuses on the 30–10 AWG thin-wall subset of Style 1569. The 9–2 AWG group is equally part of the Style and is not described here as a 15 mil thin-wall construction.
This matters at RFQ stage because a wire schedule spanning both groups describes two different constructions under one Style number, and the boundary sits between 10 AWG and 9 AWG.
The figures themselves are minimum requirements rather than nominal values. The first governs the average across the wall; the second sets a floor at every individual point on it. Neither is an exact finished-wall value.
Three Temperature Options
Style 1569 provides 80°C, 90°C or 105°C rating options. The applicable rating for the ordered construction must be confirmed.
105°C is one of those options. It is not presented here as a universal Style rating, no construction carries all three simultaneously, and no continuity qualifier is attached — 105°C continuous, continuous operation at 105°C and long-term 105°C service are not used, because the Style record states the three options and nothing further.
Where a UAE buyer’s drawing specifies a rating, it belongs in the enquiry, since a compliant Style 1569 construction may be 80°C.
300 Vac and the Optional Peak Tag
The normal Style voltage rating is 300 Vac, used accurately in technical sections. Style 1569 is not described here as 300/600V, 600 Vac, 600V continuous, a 600V working voltage or 600V AC/DC.
The Style separately permits an optional tag stating 600 Volts Peak for Electronic Use Only. That is not the normal voltage rating, and the complete qualifier stays intact wherever it appears — neither “Peak” nor “For Electronic Use Only” is dropped, and it is not written as 600V rated, 600V wire, 600 Vac, 600V continuous or 300/600V.
The optional tag also does not expand the official Use.
The Use Limitation Is Part of the Use
The formal Use is: internal wiring of appliances or electronic equipment where not subjected to movement or mechanical damage. The final clause is as binding as the first, and it is not shortened here to “internal wiring”.
Read commercially, the Use points toward fixed internal wiring, protected internal routing, and internal component-to-component connections inside appliances or electronic equipment where the wire is not subjected to movement or mechanical damage. That is an interpretation of the Use boundary rather than quoted UL wording.
Movement. The wording excludes movement, not merely repeated flexing. Style 1569 is not positioned here for continuous flexing, moving harnesses, robotic motion, drag chains, hinged equipment or frequent cable movement.
Mechanical damage. The wire is not positioned for exposed routing, unprotected wiring, abrasive machinery environments or external equipment connections where mechanical damage can occur. The approved equipment design is what provides appropriate protection.
The Use is also not extended into building wire, field-installed wire, branch-circuit wire, tray cable, conduit cable, facility wiring or external contractor wiring.

Style 1569 permits an optional extruded PVC covering at 9 mils minimum average with 8 mils minimum at any point. It is a separate permitted construction feature and is not mandatory — not every Style 1569 product includes a second PVC covering.
No covering colour, covering purpose, mechanical rating, abrasion rating or dimensional benefit is stated here, because the Style record establishes none.
The covering figures are also not added to the 15/13 mil base insulation to publish one universal total wall thickness. Where a buyer requires the optional covering, it is specified in the RFQ and confirmed against the applicable construction.
Finished OD, Weight and Cost
No universal finished outside diameter is published. Thin-wall construction does not guarantee a specific OD, and no defined harness-OD reduction is claimed.
Actual finished OD depends on the conductor construction, the actual conductor diameter, the PVC extrusion, whether the optional covering is used, and manufacturing tolerance. Where dimensions matter, request the maximum finished OD, the OD tolerance, the routing clearance and the terminal-entry requirement.
