UL 3582 is a single-conductor cable — it is not a multicore, multiconductor, control, signal, or instrumentation cable. Conductor material and finish (bare or plated) are not established by the Style-level record and are confirmed according to your ordered specification. We do not publish strand count, strand diameter, conductor resistance, current-carrying capacity, or finished outside diameter, as these depend on the actual ordered construction.

Internal Wiring Applications

UL Style 3582 is designated for internal wiring. Appropriate application language for this page includes equipment internal wiring, protected internal routing, and internal electrical connections where the 150°C / 1000 Vac jacketed construction is specified. UL 3582 differs from a conventional single-layer fluoropolymer AWM wire in construction: it adds a separate, non-integral extruded silicone rubber jacket over the fluoropolymer-insulated conductor, at meaningfully greater thickness than the fluoropolymer insulation alone. This is not presented here as universally better, safer, more durable, or more flexible than standard single-layer wire — it is a distinct two-layer construction that should be selected when your equipment specification calls for the jacketed Style 3582 build and its 150°C / 1000 Vac rating specifically. We do not describe this product as ultra-flexible, high-flex, or drag-chain suitable, and do not publish a bending radius or flex-cycle rating.
