Applications
Within its permitted use — internal wiring of appliances — UL 1330 18 AWG suits internal conductors in fuel-fired and oil-containing appliances where the wire may be exposed to gasoline, gasoline vapour or hot oil, and general appliance internal wiring in high-temperature zones approaching 200°C where PVC and lower-rated fluoropolymer styles are unsuitable. The optional glass braid covering adds abrasion resistance where the conductor is pulled through tight passages or contacts sheet-metal edges during assembly.
