One Style Across Signal and Power Gauges

A conductor span from 30 AWG to 4/0 AWG is unusual. Most appliance wiring styles are scoped either to fine hook-up gauges or to heavier power conductors, which means a design mixing both ends normally has to reference two separate UL styles, verify two sets of ratings and manage two component approvals. UL 1331 matches the 600 Vac rating and the same 20 mils wall at this gauge but is rated 150°C, and adds the Litz conductor option. UL 1333 is also 150°C, drops to 300 Vac, and uses a thinner 13 mils wall that yields a slimmer finished diameter for dense harnesses. UL 1330 is the one of the three that reaches 200°C, and the one that carries the gasoline immersion and vapour tag options in full.

Within its permitted use — internal wiring of appliances — UL 1330 22 AWG suits sensor and thermocouple extension leads, control circuit conductors and light-duty internal power connections in appliances where the wiring passes through zones approaching 200°C.
