UL 3304 High Voltage Ignition Wire — 200°C / 10,000V AC / Silicone Rubber + Fiberglass Braid
UL AWM Style 3304 is a single-conductor silicone rubber insulated wire with a fiberglass braid outer covering, recognised under UL Subject 758 specifically for electronic ignition applications in gas ranges and gas or fuel oil burner systems. Rated at 200°C and 10,000V AC, with a 40 mils minimum average silicone rubber insulation wall, it is intended for protected internal wiring of electronic ignition systems where the wire is protected from damage during handling, installation, and servicing of the appliance.
The silicone rubber insulation provides dielectric strength suited to 10,000V AC ignition pulse duty, while the fiberglass braid outer covering provides mechanical protection during installation and service routing. For the dual-layer silicone construction at the same 10,000V AC rating, see UL 3573.

Common Applications
Gas range and cooktop ignition leads
UL 3304 is used as the internal ignition lead connecting the electronic ignition control module to the spark electrode at each burner position in gas cooking ranges and cooktops. The wire routes through the appliance body in a protected internal path. Confirm ignition system output voltage and routing conditions before specifying.
Gas water heater and boiler ignition wiring
Used as internal ignition lead wiring in residential and commercial gas water heaters, boilers, and combination heating units where the wire is routed within the appliance enclosure in a protected path. The 200°C temperature rating covers the elevated ambient temperatures found in combustion chamber enclosure routing.
Industrial gas burner systems
Specified for protected internal ignition lead routing in industrial gas burner assemblies used in process heating, drying ovens, kilns, and industrial furnaces. Wire routing must be protected from mechanical damage during installation and servicing as required by the UL permitted use.
Fuel oil burner ignition
Used as the high voltage lead from the ignition transformer to the spark electrodes in fuel oil burner assemblies for residential and commercial heating boilers. The wire must be routed in a protected internal path within the burner enclosure.
Other applications
- Gas barbecue and outdoor heater electronic ignition leads — protected internal routing
- Infrared gas heater ignition systems
- Commercial catering equipment ignition wiring
