High Voltage Wire

High voltage AWM wire covers internal wiring applications where the circuit voltage exceeds the 600V AC limit of standard AWM wire — from gas appliance ignition circuits at 10,000V AC to industrial high voltage DC equipment at up to 100,000V DC. The insulation systems used in this group are engineered specifically for high voltage dielectric performance: thicker silicone rubber walls for the ignition wire styles (UL 3304, UL 3573), a wide range of DC-rated silicone constructions for the high voltage DC style (UL 3239), and a PVC high voltage grade for intermediate DC voltage applications (UL 1911).

CableApex produces high voltage AWM wire under UL Follow-Up Service File No. E333030, covering four styles across AC and DC voltage ratings and two insulation material systems. All styles comply with RoHS and REACH.

UL Style Voltage Temperature Insulation Primary application
UL 3304 10,000V AC 200°C Silicone rubber Gas burner and appliance ignition leads — open routing
UL 3573 10,000V AC 200°C Silicone + fiberglass braid Enclosed ignition circuits — protected routing
UL 3239 3kV–100kV DC 200°C Silicone rubber HV DC internal wiring — laser, X-ray, electrostatic equipment
UL 1911 50,000V DC Standard PVC HV grade Intermediate HV DC — 15kV–50kV ignition and power supply leads
