UL 3071 Silicone Wire

UL 3071 is a silicone rubber insulated wire with a braid covering, rated 200°C and 600V AC under UL AWM Style 3071, supplied as a UL Recognized Component — file on record. UL 3071 matches the 200°C / 600V rating of UL 3172 and uses a braid covering per the UL 3071 listing (SF-2 type), but differs in conductor range — UL 3071 covers the 18–13 AWG range, suited to power lead connections in industrial heating equipment where a 200°C rating and 600V dielectric strength are required.

UL 3071 is commonly specified by industrial oven and furnace manufacturers for power lead connections within the equipment enclosure — for example, the internal wire section between a terminal block and a heating load terminal, where the routing is protected within the equipment structure. The silicone insulation and braid covering provide the dielectric strength for a 600V circuit and added surface protection for the silicone at routing contact points, within the UL 3071 rating and the equipment’s own design evaluation. For lighter control and signal wiring in the same temperature class, see UL 3122 (300V). Available in 18 AWG to 13 AWG; RoHS and REACH documentation is available on request.
