UL10362 PFA Wire
UL 10362 is a PFA (perfluoroalkoxy alkane) insulated wire rated 250°C and 600V AC under UL AWM Style 10362, supplied as a UL Recognized Component — file on record. PFA is a melt-processable fluoropolymer with a 250°C continuous service temperature, processed by standard melt extrusion — producing a smooth, glossy insulation surface similar to FEP and enabling thin, uniform insulation walls with good concentricity.
UL 10362 PFA and UL 1659 PTFE share the same 250°C / 600V rating but are different fluoropolymer options suited to different routing, surface finish, processing, and procurement requirements. PFA is melt-extruded with a smooth surface and is often selected where buyers need 250°C / 600V AWM internal wiring with PFA insulation and easier routing compared with some PTFE constructions; PTFE is paste-extruded and is often selected where its particular surface and chemical-resistance characteristics are preferred. UL 10362 is commonly selected for equipment internal wiring where PFA insulation, a 250°C rating, and a 600V rating are required. Available in 30 AWG to 4/0 AWG; RoHS and REACH documentation is available on request.
