UL 3266 XLPE Wire

UL 3266 XLPE Wire — 125°C / 300V Crosslinked Polyethylene Hook-Up Wire

UL Style 3266 is a 125°C crosslinked polyethylene hook-up wire within UL Subject 758, offering a higher temperature rating than PVC styles at a compact 15-mil insulation wall. Rated 125°C and 300V AC with extruded XLPE insulation, Style 3266 covers internal wiring in appliances and electronic equipment where standard PVC wire at 80–105°C has insufficient thermal margin under continuous load. Tags may indicate 600 Volts Peak — For Electronic Use Only.

The crosslinked structure of XLPE gives improved heat deformation resistance compared with many thermoplastic insulation materials, allowing a 125°C continuous rating at the same 15-mil wall and AWG as Style 1007 and 1569 PVC wire. This can support a thermal upgrade from PVC to XLPE in appliance harness designs, subject to checking fit, terminal compatibility, harness routing, and the equipment’s own approval.

Typical Applications

  • Electronic equipment internal wiring — static internal wiring in industrial computers, power conversion equipment, and motor drives in higher-ambient enclosures where internal temperatures under load approach the PVC limit.
  • Motor lead connections (selected example) — winding lead and terminal wiring in motors where the operating temperature exceeds the range of 105°C PVC wire, subject to the equipment design and buyer evaluation of fit and approval.
  • Compact appliance internal wiring — fine-gauge internal wiring in appliances where the 15-mil wall keeps the bundle diameter compact at the required AWG.
  • Appliance harness thermal upgrade — a higher-temperature alternative to UL 1007 and UL 1569 PVC wire in existing harness designs, subject to checking fit, terminal compatibility, routing, and equipment approval.

To request a quotation, send the AWG size, conductor type (solid or stranded), insulation colour, voltage, temperature requirement, routing condition, quantity, and a brief description of the application. Quotations are returned within 24 hours, and mixed-AWG orders are accepted on a single shipment.
