UL Style 5107 specifies solid or stranded construction for 26–8 AWG, but stranded only for sizes larger than 8 AWG. Since 6 AWG is larger than 8 AWG, this featured product is stranded only — a solid-conductor option is not offered for this size. Mica Tape and Treated Glass Braid Insulation

UL Style 5107’s insulation system consists of mica tape with a treated glass braid, or, according to the qualified construction, a mica-composite system with braid.
