Silicone Rubber Wire

Silicone rubber AWM wire provides the highest continuous temperature rating in the standard AWM wire range — 200°C — through the inherent thermal stability of the silicone polymer chain, which maintains its elastic, non-brittle form and electrical insulation properties across its rated range. Silicone insulation also remains flexible at temperatures as low as −60°C, making it a common specification where both high-temperature and low-temperature flexibility are required. It is selected for internal wiring where the temperature and flexibility requirements exceed what many PVC or XLPE styles are rated to provide.

CableApex supplies silicone rubber AWM wire as a UL Recognized Component — file on record — covering four styles with different constructions and voltage ratings to match specific routing and application requirements. All four comply with RoHS and REACH and are available in the AWG ranges according to each UL style’s construction.
